He was first appointed to the post on August 24, 2016, by the then Prime minister Nawaz Sharif for five years. Later, the PTI government extended his term for additional five years in 2021.
Due to “some personal reasons” he will talk in “detail” after the acceptance of his resignation.
I cannot share details for resigning,”
he said, adding that during his tenure he worked on several important projects
related to Water Resources and made WAPDA self-reliant.
